Following the evaluation process of the first applications for the use of the 5G Valley test network infrastructure, the test network infrastructures have been opened for use by beneficiaries. The first test and technology development activities have begun in the Valley. Universities, research centers, companies, and entrepreneurial technology firms will be able to create added value by testing applications and technologies related to 5G and Beyond using the test network infrastructure. Within the scope of the 5G Valley test network infrastructure;
Measurement devices to be used in R&D activities particularly targeting the physical layer, such as physical layer models that can utilize different candidate waveforms for 5G, MIMO and beamforming models, enabling concept, design, and test/verification studies related to 5G New Radio, 3.5 GHz air interface studies, as well as C-V2X-related studies and mMTC waveform design;
Software-based networks and virtual network functions in test infrastructures that enable the transformation to 5G networks, alongside domestically and nationally developed 4G core networks and 4G base stations;
An IoT platform that enables the processing and reporting of data obtained from sensors to contribute to M2M and IoT studies; and
An end-to-end 5G network
are being used by technology developers for testing to reach a 5G and Beyond level simultaneously with the world.
In the first phase of the 5G Valley test network infrastructure, the development of the 5.9 GHz C-V2X channel measurement project is targeted by ULAK İletişim A.Ş., Spark Ölçüm Teknolojileri A.Ş., Hacettepe University, and Koç University.
The 5G Valley Open Test Field is currently awaiting applications from all technology developers and researchers on topics that will advance Turkey.
