Within the scope of the 5G Valley Open Test Field activities, the 5G and Beyond Joint Graduate Program (5G OLDP) was launched. The aim of 5G OLDP is to contribute to the training of qualified human resources needed by our country in 5G and beyond topics. In the Program, conducted in collaboration with 5G Valley parties BTK, Hacettepe, METU, Bilkent Universities, Turkcell, Türk Telekom, and Vodafone, 40 researcher students pursuing master's and PhD degrees are supported by mobile operators.
The program aims to create sustainable competencies in advanced communication technologies and to produce outputs in various forms such as patents, projects, articles, and entrepreneurial technology companies through thesis studies. To achieve this goal, seminar programs are organized for researcher students within the scope of 5G OLDP.
In this context, in the Fall semester of 2019-2020, first, seminars titled "Density-Aware, Energy- and Spectrum-Efficient Small Cell Scheduling" by Mr. Shahram MOLLAHSANI and "Density-aware Cellular Coverage Control: Interference-based Density Estimation" by Mr. Alperen EROĞLU will be held in the Department of Computer Engineering at Middle East Technical University.
In the upcoming process, seminar programs will be held on topics such as Terahertz Communication in 5G and Beyond, Full Duplex Radio and Medium Access Control, Software-Based Networks and Use Cases in 5G, Impact of 5G on Vertical Sectors, Core Network in 5G, Transformation to 5G and IoT Use Cases, Private Network (Private Network) Use Cases, Transport Layer in 5G, Artificial Intelligence for 5G and Beyond, C-V2X, Connected Vehicles, 5G Use Scenarios, Welcome to the Smart World, Random Access in 5G Networks, and 5G New Radio.
