The Reference Document on Electronic Communications Infrastructure Facilities, prepared for the establishment of standards regarding excavations carried out during the construction of underground facilities related to electronic communications infrastructure, refilling of excavations, installed cable protection ducts, splice rooms, and similar other matters, has been approved by the Board Decision dated 30.05.2017 and numbered 2017/DK-TED/178, and published on our Institution's website.
With the "Regulation on Electronic Communications Infrastructure and Information Systems" dated 13/07/2016 prepared by our Institution, compliance by operators with the matters specified in the "Electronic Communications Infrastructure Reference Document" has been made mandatory.
With the entry into force of the said document;
Operators establishing their infrastructures in accordance with the standards determined by our Institution,
Reducing environmental disturbance through excavations compliant with the standard,
Increasing service quality by reducing faults that may occur due to quality infrastructure installation,
Conducting excavations for their own networks in a way that allows the infrastructure to be used by other operators for a fee,
Increasing competition between operators,
Preventing unnecessary excavation costs so that end users receive electronic communications services at more reasonable prices,
thus aiming to contribute to our country's economy by ensuring the effective and efficient use of resources.
