
With the decree published in the Official Gazette, Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu was appointed to the position vacated by Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan at BTK.
With the decree numbered 2018/106 signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, a new assignment was made at the Information Technologies and Communication Authority. Board Member Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu was appointed in place of Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, who had previously been appointed as Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure. Figen Kılıç was appointed to the Second Presidency position, and Orhan Öge, Hacı Adnan Cengiz, and Rıdvan Kahveci to the memberships.
Who is Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu?
Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu was born in 1975 in Glasgow, Scotland. He graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in 2000.
Karagözoğlu, who worked as a software engineer at İSKİ between 2002 and 2004, successively held positions such as Software Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Application Support Chief, and Information Systems Chief at BELBİM, one of the companies affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and producing technology, starting in 2004.
Karagözoğlu, who left BELBİM in 2016 and continued his career as Presidential Advisor and Board Member at BTK, will henceforth serve as the President of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority with the published decree.
