Under the coordination of our Institution's Technical Regulations Department
Directorate, an information meeting was held on November 18, 2016, at our Istanbul
Regional Directorate with the participation of importers, manufacturers, and civil
society organizations within the scope of Market Surveillance and Inspection (PGD)
activities for devices used in the electronic communications sector. In the first
session, our Institution's Technical Regulations Department Deputy Director Ramazan
YILMAZ delivered an informative presentation on the administrative and technical
aspects of the PGD activities. In the second session, a detailed presentation was
made on the EU's new Radio Equipment Directive, legislative update studies within
this scope, and key issues to be considered in PGD processes. In the afternoon
session, consultations were conducted focusing on the views and questions of
importers, manufacturers, and civil society organizations.
